Privacy Policy — FIM Protocol

What the public MVP processes

FIM Protocol processes the public FIM handle, profile name, or FIM-ID that a user asks it to resolve. It returns public working-identity metadata and collaboration guidance.

What the public MVP does not request

The public MVP does not request or ingest a user's full ChatGPT history, private messages, contacts, precise location, financial information, health information, passwords, or unrelated account content.

Data retention

Query content: the public MVP does not intentionally persist user-supplied FIM handles, FIM-IDs, or profile-resolution query bodies after the request has been completed. In normal operation, this application-level query content is discarded when the response is completed.

Application diagnostics under the publisher's control: if temporary diagnostic records are created to investigate reliability, abuse, or security incidents, they are retained for no longer than 30 days unless a longer period is reasonably necessary to investigate an active security incident or comply with law.

Public FIM registry records: public identity-profile records are retained while they remain published in the registry. A publisher or authorized requester may request correction or removal. Once approved for removal, the record is removed from the active registry without undue delay.

Infrastructure logs: hosting and security providers may process and retain ordinary technical logs under their own retention schedules and policies. FIM does not use those provider logs to build advertising profiles or sell personal data.

The public MVP does not maintain a separate application database backup containing user query content.

Operational data

Hosting and security providers may process ordinary technical data needed to deliver and protect the service, such as timestamps, request metadata, status codes, IP-derived security signals, and error diagnostics. FIM does not sell personal data.

Private relationship capsules

Private relationship-memory capsules are not part of this public MVP. If introduced later, they will require explicit authorization, authenticated access, encryption, retention and deletion controls, and an updated privacy notice before launch.

Sharing

Limited technical data may be processed by infrastructure providers solely to host, secure, and operate the service, subject to their applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Deletion, correction, and privacy requests

For questions, privacy requests, correction requests, or removal requests related to public FIM registry data, use the FIM support page or contact page.

The designated contact address is support@fimprotocol.com. Mailbox activation is pending; consult the support or contact page for operational status before sending a request. Public launch is pending a working contact channel.
